Full Time, Fixed Term - Researcher The Sunter group in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences is looking to fill the vacancy of Post-doctoral research assistant for our Leverhulme Trust funded research project. This exciting project in collaboration with Dr Richard Wheeler (University of Oxford) will use a directed evolution approach to identify functionally related gene networks in the eukaryotic parasite, Leishmania mexicana. We will combine CRISPR-based genome engineering with mutagenesis and whole genome sequencing technologies to identify secondary mutations, which alleviate the growth defect of CRISPR-generated mutants.
