Call for Individual Fellowships (IF) + call Widening Fellowships (WF) in H2020

By the April 11, 2019, there will be call H2020-MSCA-IF-2019 and call WF-02-2019 opened in frame of programme H2020, subprogram Marie Curie actions. The respective calls are interconnected and almost identical. The principle is to submit a proposal to IF call and not opt out from having the proposal automatically resubmitted also to the WF call.

nly the proposals submitted to CAR/RI/SE panel, where the host organisation is located in an eligible „widening country“ (BG, HR, CY, CZ, EST, HU, LT, LV, L, Malta, PL, P, RO, SK, SL etc.), will be automatically resubmitted to the WF call in case that the proposal fails to reach an adequate place in the ranking to be funded in the regular MSCA-IF call.

The goal of both calls is to enhance the creative and innovative potential of experienced researchers (ER) through advanced training, international and intersectoral mobility. The scheme particularly supports the return and reintegration of researchers from outside Europe who have previously worked here. Support is foreseen for individuals to provide ER of any nationality with an employment in EU Member State or in H2020 Associated Country (beneficiary must employ the researcher). The call has no restriction on topic.

Rem.: ER = more than 4 years full-time experience in research or Ph.D. title - at the time of call closure.

Projects may be of two types. The first type is the European fellowship (employment for 12-24/12-36 months). The applicant must comply with the rules of mobility in the country where the beneficiary is located. The mobility rule differs according to the panel, to which the proposal is going to be submitted (RI, CAR, SE, ST).
European Fellowship may include intersectoral secondment (in Europe) in the length 0-3/0-6 months at maximum depending on the length of fellowship itself. The secondment should significantly add to the impact of the fellowship.

The second type is Global Fellowship. Global Fellowships are based on a secondment to a third country (12-24 months) and a mandatory 12 month return period to a European host. The researcher must comply with the rules of mobility in the country where the Global Fellowship secondment takes place.

Proposal submission deadline: 11 September 2019 at 5 p.m.

NB: Only one proposal per individual researcher will be evaluated.

Evaluation of proposals: single stage
