Presentation: Stable isotope applications and development of the SoWa IRMS lab

SoWa-RI, Biology Center CAS

The IRMS lab of the SoWa-RI, Biology Center CAS (https://soilwater.eu/laboratory/irmslaboratory/) is now measuring stable isotope ratios of carbon, nitrogen, sulfur, oxygen, and hydrogen in solids, liquids, gases, and molecular biomarkers. This presentation will outline our capacity as a collaborative service resource for projects investigating metabolic, ecological, and environmental processes and hope to generate feedback for the needs of local researchers internal to BC and JČU. Further, ongoing measurements and interpret initial results from parallel stable isotope approaches to determine microbial carbon use efficiency in forest soil will be described.

The seminar will be held on Friday 28th June10:00 a.m., Na sádkách 7, 370 05  České Budějovice, in the small meeting room no. 012.
