Description

Specialist in aquatic parasitology in aquaculture systems and natural marine and freshwater habitats: morphology, identification, diversity, distribution and ecology, phylogeny and evolution, life cycles, host-parasite relationships, pathology, transmission, transcriptomics and proteomics, functional antiparasitic approaches. Specialization in and passion for myxozoan parasites with current projects focussing on the mechanisms and molecules involved in host-parasite interaction responsible for rapid parasite proliferation and propagation in the host.
