  • 2002 - two week stay at the Institute of Hydrobiology,Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wuhan, China; sampling of fresh material of myxozoans from freshwater fish
  • 2003 - three week cruise off the coast of the British; sampling of marine fish from different localities of the North Atlantic Ocean to collect myxozoans
  • 2003 - oral presentation on Sixth International Symposium on fish Parasites, University of the Free State, Bloemfontein, South Africa
  • 2004 - three week stay at El Colegio de la Frontera Sur, Chetumal, Mexico; sampling of fish
