Postdoctoral Position at Institut Pasteur, Paris
Institut Pasteur in Paris is offering a postdoctoral position focused on the role of fluke-borne viruses in liver fluke pathogenicity and oncogenicity.
The project will investigate viruses associated with the liver flukes Opisthorchis viverrini and Clonorchis sinensis, both recognised as Group 1 carcinogens due to their association with cholangiocarcinoma.
As part of the ANR-funded FLUBOPATHO project, the successful candidate will study the effects of fluke virus proteins on human cells, including their impact on the cell transcriptome, signalling pathways and virus–host protein interactions. The aim is to better understand mechanisms linking viral infection, inflammation and oncogenicity.
Applicants should hold a PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry or a related field. Experience in cell culture, molecular biology and Omics data analysis is an advantage.
