Tapeworms (Cestoda) of the genera Diphyllobothrium, Diplogonoporus and Spirometra cause human diseases called diphyllobothriosis, diplogonoporosis and sparganosis, respectively. In this chapter, we summarize our current knowledge of the biology, diagnostics and epidemiology of causative agents of these food-borne zoonoses.
