Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
As Upper Austria's leading research and educational institution, the Johannes Kepler University Linz depends on its partners. Prof. Dr. Libor Grubhoffer, RNDr., CSc., Biology Centre, Czech Academy of Sciences, is an important ambassador and supporter of JKU.
Prof. Grubhoffers achievements in the field of biochemistry, in particular in elucidating the molecular mechanisms involved in infection with parasite-borne diseases, are outstanding. He is also a supporter of academic teaching in cooperation with Johannes Kepler University. For these reasons, the JKU Senate has decided to award him an honorary doctorate in natural sciences.
The award will be presented during an academic ceremony which will be held in English. A reception will take place afterwards.
