Volleyball trophy again for hydrobiologists!
The ninth edition of the intramural BC volleyball tournament took place as usual on the last Saturday in November at the gym in Sokolská Street in České Budějovice.
The tournament was attended by seasoned matadors from last year's editions: a team of entomologists (ENTÚ), a team of hydrobiologists (HBÚ), a team of parasitologists (PAÚ), a team of players from the Technical and Economic Administration (THS) enriched by representatives from the Institute of Soil Biology and the Institute of Plant Molecular Biology (ÚMBR).
The tournament culminated in a tough battle between last year's champion (HBÚ team) and their challengers (PAÚ team). The score was as tight as it could get (26:24 and 27:25) and the winner was again the Institute of Hydrobiology.
We would like to thank the Biology Centre and all institutes for their financial support.
I would also like to thank all the players who not only participated in the tournament, but also sat and chatted in the local clubhouse!
I am very much looking forward to the next, already tenth year in 2024!!
