Research interests

Molecular biology and ecology, mechanisms of infectivity and pathogenesis of Lyme disease spirochetes, tick-host-pathogen interactions, transmission of microogranisms, tick immune response, immune proteins and antimicrobial peptides and their potential use in drug design.
